Born and raised in Chicago, George Andros —known professionally as Georgie Porgie and today as GP—developed his musical identity in the city that gave birth to House music. That Chicago foundation continues to influence his sound today, from House and Tech House to Disco House, Afro House and Dance.
GP emerged from Chicago’s legendary Dance and House music culture as both a DJ and recording artist. Rather than remaining behind the decks, he developed a career that combines DJ performance, songwriting, vocals, production and remixing, giving his performances the dimension of both a DJ and an international recording artist.
His connection to Chicago House remains central to his musical identity while his sound continues to evolve for today’s dance floors.
GP’s career includes 100+ #1 records in more than 50 countries, with millions of records sold and streamed worldwide.
His achievements have earned recognition from Billboard, including being named a Top 10 Dance Artist of the Decade and being recognized among Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Top Dance Club Artists.

Beyond his own recording career, GP has worked as a producer and remixer with music associated with artists including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Spice Girls, Mary J. Blige, Barbara Tucker, Jason Walker, Dawn Tallman, Linda Clifford and The Chi-Lites featuring Marshall Thompson, among others.
